Bandji Fall is a self-taught impressionist and abstract artist, born in Senegal, West Africa. As a child, he quickly captured the attention of his primary school teachers and peers—first with transient designs he sculpted in the sand, and later with drawings and paintings in the classroom. As a teenager, he assisted his father, a metal welder, eventually becoming a certified welder himself. This hands-on craft deeply influenced his spatial awareness and enabled him to further explore his artistic talents.

In 1997, Fall relocated from Senegal to The Gambia, where he devoted himself entirely to his fine art. His exceptional talent was quickly recognized when he captured second place in the country’s celebrated Homecoming Festival. Although financial constraints later forced a temporary retreat from his craft due to the high cost of materials, his resilience prevailed.

With modest sponsorship in 2000, Fall revitalized his practice and successfully expanded his reach globally, selling paintings to collectors in the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States. In Germany, he proudly represented The Gambia in a major international exhibition alongside renowned global artists, winning widespread accolades for his unique style.

However, it was within the US market that Fall found the greatest opportunities to expand his craft and gain major recognition. His powerful visual language has often been compared to that of the iconic American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, a leading figure of the 1980s Neo-Expressionism movement. Today, discerning international collectors are increasingly inquiring about Fall's work, recognizing the compelling parallel to Basquiat’s early market trajectory and the immense investment potential of his distinctive style.
